Teeth whitening near me. Start with the whole cost.
Before choosing a clinic, compare what the price actually buys. Explore published examples, build a local travel budget and check the dental professional independently.
We are an information and enquiry website, not a dental practice or booking service. We have no clinic partners or live local availability. A dentist, not this website, must assess treatment suitability.
Private treatment. The NHS says teeth whitening is not available on the NHS. Finding an NHS-listed practice does not mean whitening is NHS-funded.
01 / Published price evidence
Real prices. Different packages.
These are two providers’ published London examples, checked 6 November 2026—not our offers, a UK average or proof of availability near you. Confirm current prices directly.
South Kensington, London
Medical & Dental
£199 offer / £399 standard
Per dentist-supervised home-whitening package with custom trays. The provider lists a scan, two trays, gel, supervision, instructions and a review. Assessment may be charged separately when not part of an existing examination.
VAT: source explicitly says inclusive. Offer subject to change; no fixed expiry stated in the checked page.
The same provider table lists Zoom in-clinic whitening at £450 and consultation as free. These are treatment/package prices, not per-tooth fees. Ask which visits, trays and supplies apply to the quoted package.
VAT: not stated in the checked price table; unknown. Ask for the final tax-inclusive amount rather than adding or assuming tax.
A free consultation label does not establish that a full dental examination, investigations or any other care is included. Ask before paying a deposit.

Good questions. Clearer decisions.
02 / Your numbers, not a prediction
What would the local total be?
A cheaper headline can mean more journeys. Enter amounts from your own quote and travel plans. Treatment and consultation are one-off totals; travel is a return-journey cost multiplied by planned visits.
Enter zero only for a confirmed included or genuinely free item. A blank is unknown, not free. This worksheet adds costs; it cannot produce a dental quote, recommend treatment or predict results. Entries stay in this page and are not sent with the enquiry form.
Keep other possible charges in the written quote rather than guessing them. If the practice identifies additional care, request a separate explanation and price before deciding.
Add all four values to see your total.
The brief contains your worksheet and comparison questions, not contact details or clinical information.
03 / Like-for-like comparison
Compare the scope before the savings.
Dentist-prescribed home whitening and treatment in a dental surgery can involve different appointments and supplies. The NHS describes both routes. We do not rank their clinical effectiveness or choose a route for you.
Ask what the fee covers
Is the examination separate from the advertised consultation?
Which teeth or arches are covered by this package?
Are trays, supplies, fitting and review appointments included?
What happens financially if treatment does not go ahead?
Ask what could change
What is the written total, including any applicable VAT?
When does this quote or promotion expire?
What are deposit, cancellation and refund terms?
Are future reviews, replacement trays or repeat supplies separate?
Ask the dentist to explain realistic expectations, risks and alternatives directly. A brand name, dramatic photograph or promised shade is not a substitute for that conversation. You can request time to consider the written plan without making a same-day purchase.
Stock appointment scene; no affiliation or patient outcome implied.
04 / An honest route to “near me”
Find the practice. Check the person.
Use the NHS dentist finder for England ↗ to identify practices, then contact them about private whitening services and fees. It is not a whitening booking inventory. Outside England, use your nation’s official NHS service information rather than this England-only search.
The GDC professional register ↗ covers the UK. Ask the practice for the treating professional’s full name and registration number, then check the individual—not just the clinic’s trading name.
The GDC explains ↗ that whitening requires a registered dentist’s assessment and prescription. Registration is not a price endorsement or guarantee. We do not check your location, display invented nearby results or pass you to a provider.

05 / Keep your comparison useful
A little preparation goes a long way.
Save the source page and the date of each quote. Separate confirmed inclusions from unanswered questions. For repeat spending, ask about review fees and supplies without assuming a fixed maintenance schedule; your dentist sets any individual instructions.
No. A deposit may be only part of the bill. Ask whether it is deducted from the treatment fee, when the balance is due and what happens if the plan changes after assessment. Request the cancellation and refund terms before paying, including any separate consultation charge that remains payable if you do not proceed.
Keep a dated copy of the advert and the practice’s written answer. A promotional headline does not by itself confirm an appointment or that every condition applies to you.
What if the quote changes?
Ask for an updated breakdown explaining the difference rather than comparing an old advert with a new plan. Separate any additional care from the whitening package, with its own reason and price. Your dentist should answer clinical questions; this worksheet cannot decide whether an extra item is necessary.
Update the travel and visit count too. A correct calculation using an outdated package is still an unreliable budget. Download a fresh brief after recalculating and keep the quote date with your notes.
Should I budget for repeat spending?
Ask what later reviews, replacement items or repeat supplies would cost and whether any are already included. Do not assume a recurring purchase is necessary, or that a particular result will last for a set period. Personal treatment and maintenance decisions belong with your dentist, not a price calculator.
Record any future price as a dated, conditional amount rather than a guaranteed annual cost. If an item is described only as “from”, ask what the starting price buys and what might change it.
Information first. A decision with your dentist.
This resource covers costs and questions, not diagnosis, eligibility, product instructions or a promised shade. For the treatment overview, read NHS teeth whitening information ↗. Discuss personal clinical questions with a registered dentist.
